High Speeds and High Stakes

Well, I didn't do too much this morning. Around Three Thirty however I picked up my cousin Michael and we chilled at my house for about an hour. I had to drop him and my dad off in Beverly and then I went to disc replay in Orland Park. I also went to Tiger Direct and begrudgingly bought a new sound card for slightly more than what it would cost elsewhere online. I had a monopoly party, which I hardly remembered I had even planned last week, and boy was it irritating. I was playing with cory who can't freaking count, Alex who moves WAY too slow, and Steve who had never played monopoly in his 18 years of life. If that wasn't bad enough, Pakosz took advantage of Steve with an unfair trade thus letting him win the game. Usually I enjoy Monopoly, but I did not have the best of times during this session. I also got very angry at two drivers today who didn't know how to accelerate to the speed limit OR how to merge, that usually happens on a daily basis though.

Camping FTW?

Well, I went camping Tuesday and Wednesday and I have to say that I did have an enjoyable time while I was there. Pay close attention to that sentence however, while I was THERE. The car rides were a different story which I'll post in my other blog. ANYHOW, when we arrived in Rockville Indiana, four hours from New Lenox, we went for a swim at the lake just a short walk away. It was a very refreshing swim and afterwards we had a good night of talking around the fire, walking, and playing catch phrase. The next day was fun, though short. Four of the Six people that had been there since Monday left around eight in the morning on Wednesday, and I was awake the rest of the day after being woke up that early. I shot Joe's' BB gun for a while and it was really fun due to its' extreme accuracy. Before we left we had one last fire, although this fire was not like that of the previous night. We had about 2 gallons of gas in a plastic gas can on top of the fire starter. We lit the fire starter and then shot the tank which led to the gas pouring onto the flames thus igniting the can. It was awesome to see it burning that intensely, and it was even cooler when we put pop cans in the fire which proceeded to explode upon being in the fire for a minute or so. All together it was a fun camping trip but I can guarantee you that next time we go, I am definitely going to be in charge of supplies and food.

Doing Good Deeds

Well, I went to the theater today to get everybody tickets for the Dark Knight movie. While I was there, I was chatting with somebody I met there in the parking lot. We noticed that this car had a tire that must've gone flat while the driver was in the theater. They came out and long story short we changed their tire. It was cool to be able to do something nice for a stranger. Also, they have Arizona Iced tea products on sale, it's two dollars for three. Cool day.

I may have cried

Get this, I had nothing to do tonight, what a surprise, so I called up Pakosz and he said it was board game night at Suggets. Before all this however I was trying to open a speaker from a boom box but the stupid screw shaft is way too deep for any of my screw drivers. I tried to drill it out and see if I could get it from the side but no luck was there for me, so I'm gonna have to go at it with a saw. So I get to the party and we watched a bunch of videos on youtube and stuff, and then we went downstairs to play Settlers of Catan. If you've ever played this game you know that somebody always allies with somebody in the end when they know they can't win, just to prevent another player from winning. Well, I partnered with Jake to help him win and Pakosz went with Ryan, Gary was entirely neutral. At the end of the game Mike Sugget said he was gonna help me win by cheating, so he grabbed a bunch of resource cards and told me to drop something. I wasn't going to use the cards but I was going to go along with it just in case I had to do so to keep Mike Pakosz from winning. I drop my wallet, he picks it up and puts the cards in it and hands it to me. Once I take it I just start laughing so hard that I went straight to cry laughing. I did that for about a minute and a half because it was just so funny. I never actually used the cards but it was good nonetheless. Yeah, it was also storming crazy bad tonight.

Stand Still

This happened about two weeks ago but it's so awesome I just have to post it before I forget about it. We were at Target in Orland Park and I thought it would be fun to do a stand still. You get as many people as you can, go to a public location with a lot of foot traffic, and you all freeze in place at the same time, and stay frozen for at least a minute. Well, we did this with four people at the entrance of Target for about ten minutes. We stood across from each other in groups of two as if we met by random chance, and of course we all had action oriented poses. Alex Troyan was half walking which was quite the testament to his ability to do something and not mess it up, and I had a pointed hand in the air. We received a lot of reactions from people thinking it was a school project, people thinking we were weird losers, and people bumping into us to see if we would move. Eventually we got kicked out by security but it was well executed and well worth it. I hope to do it again at Target in New Lenox but on a much grander scheme.

Random Public fun

So tonight was pretty out of control. After we went frolfing we decided to go to 7-11, the event which I have described in my other blog due to it being a whole other story. Anyways, afterwards we went back to my house and Mitchell decided to go home, and my guests and I decided to go to Taco Bell. We go through the drive through, it takes forever, and after we drive away we look in the bag and the order is all wrong. We didn't get too far fortunately and when I looked inside I saw Mitch sitting down eating his tacos. I was pissed at him so we all went in and sat down with him. We then got our order fixed, but kept the other one which consisted of three NASTY soft shell with sour cream tacos, 2 chicken strips, and an apple empenada. So we ate all the food, but we had nothing to do afterwards so we decided to do something hilarious. We were sitting at the window that's the first window you pass once you leave the drivethru window. We did something ridiculous every time a car drove by. I was a zombie and I was eating Pakosz, we were all drinking through our ears, we all made weird faces and pointed, basically we did any weird thing that would make people double take and be all like "OMGWTFBBQSAUCE!". It was fun but very stupid but what else is there to do in my town you know? I'll miss these carefree days.

Too much of a good thing can be alright!

Today started off normal, went to work and we started on the bathrooms. Well, I started on a side project but whatever. After working for a while we took our break, and I decided that me and my boss should go get Slurpees since they have that new Monster Black Ice Slurpee, and the collectible cups for it, and new metal straws in six different colors that say Slurpee. My boss decided that he wanted all of the cups and all of the straws. So we go get the two cups and one straw. That's one Slurpee down. We went back at lunch and on second break, on which he completed his collected and I thusly consumed my third Slurpee. So I'm gonna die since I've been cleaning the underside of toilettes and sinks with my face hardly inches away and I've way too much Slurpee in my system. When I got home I immediately took a shower, and then went to play a short round of Frisbee golf. We went to Ranch Frosties when we finished, and I got an ice cream cone coated in cherry, and it looked like male genitalia since they added more to the top of it once they had already made it and then dipped it in cherry. The whole incident was quite frankly hilarious and afterwards we went to 7-Eleven. I had my fourth Slurpee, that's right, almost 4 liters of that icey goodness in one day. All in all, today was a pretty eventful uneventful day, and I am never going to drink that much Slurpee in one day ever again, though I will be going to 89 cent Slurpee day the 9th-11th.
